Founded in London by Columbian designer Jennifer Droguett, ANCIELA is the culmination of the latin folklore, craft and rich experiences of a childhood combined with an outsiders perspective gained from leaving the homeland and living in Europe. Having graduated from AMFI Holland, Jennifer moved to London and worked as a Fashion Designer and Pattern cutter for brands including Viktor & Rolf, House of Holland, Sadie Williams, Richard Malone and Artschool, before launching her own brand to great acclaim.
ANCIELA is keen to bring the influences of Colombian heritage and culture into British Fashion, whilst celebrating British manufacture and production techniques, resulting in a uniquely positioned sustainable and ethical brand. ANCIELA designs with sustainability in mind from the very beginning of the process, minimising waste practices in the pursuit of longevity and timeless looks. All fabrics are locally sourced and collections produced in-house or within the UK; British wools and GOTS organic fabrics from dead stock warehouses are used as base materials, whilst new-wave textiles such as banana fibre cotton, cork and recycled scraps allow for creative experimentation.
ANCIELA offers re-worked tailoring and eccentric Ready-To-Wear interwoven with a hint of the magical.
